PART I
ART. 1 – SUBJECT OF THE EVENT
“TAORMINA FOOD EXPO” (hereinafter the “Event”) is a regional exhibition dedicated to enhancing and promoting Sicilian excellence in agri-food and gastronomy.
The Event is organised by CNA Sicilia, Tax Code 800 350 70 822, represented by its legal representative in office, with registered office in Palermo (90139 – PA), Via Francesco Crispi no. 72 (and electronic domicile at the following certified email (PEC) address: CNASICILIA@LEGALMAIL.IT) (hereinafter “CNA SICILIA” or the “Organiser”).
The Event will take place from 12 to 15 November 2026 at the Palacongressi in Taormina.
The opening hours of the fair are as follows:
- 10:00 – 21:00 for exhibitors;
- 11:00 – 21:00 for visitors.
These opening hours may change in the days before the Event; in that case the Organiser will give notice of the change and publicise it widely.
ART. 2 – ADMITTED EXHIBITORS AND EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
2.1. The following may apply for admission as Exhibitors:
a) Italian and/or foreign companies, individually or in association (including supply-chain organisations and their consortia), exhibiting their own products that fall within the product sectors covered by the Event;
b) trade associations, consortia, foundations, public and private bodies, local authorities, LAGs (Local Action Groups) and organisations whose institutional activities include promotion, study, information, training and dissemination in the sectors covered by the Event;
c) member companies: in the case of collective participation (groups, consortia, associations, etc.), the lead company in whose name the application is submitted may list the other companies, attaching documents proving its status as lead company, by means of the “Expression of interest” form;
2.2. The Organiser reserves the right both to admit, exceptionally, companies, bodies or organisations that do not meet the above requirements, and to exclude certain services, products or samples from the Event or to forbid their presentation in more than one stand of the same product sector.
2.3. Operators wishing to take part in the exhibition must fill in the application for participation, using the attached “Expression of interest” form, completed in every part and signed in the space provided with specific acceptance of these regulations.
The application must fully comply with the Organiser’s invitation; no reservations, conditions or additional clauses are allowed.
The application for participation is an irrevocable contractual offer pursuant to and for the purposes of Article 1329 of the Italian Civil Code. By signing the application, the operator undertakes to keep the offer open until the contract is concluded and/or in any case until the Organiser’s right not to accept it has been acknowledged.
Furthermore, by filling in and signing the application, the operator accepts all the conditions contained in these General Regulations, which must also be sent stamped and signed on every page, and undertakes to comply with all the additional conditions set out in the “Event Programme”, including dates and times, equipment, general provisions, service booking forms and any other rule amending, supplementing or derogating from them that the Organiser may adopt.
The Organiser may in fact supplement, amend and cancel the above provisions and derogate from them, giving notice by certified email (PEC).
Any law or regulation amending the rules covered by these general provisions shall automatically and immediately apply, even if the general provisions have not been amended on those points.
The Organiser may also adopt at any time the measures it deems most appropriate, which the Exhibitor must apply immediately, concerning health and hygiene, fire prevention, workplace hygiene, prevention of injuries or damage, and the safety of participants and visitors. These measures may be notified to Exhibitors by certified email (PEC) and shall prevail over the general provisions previously adopted, in view of the collective interest they serve.
2.4. The expression of interest in participating must be submitted to CNA Sicilia exclusively in the following ways:
- by filling in the “Expression of interest” form in the dedicated section of the website www.taorminafoodexpo.it;
- by email to the following addresses: taorminafoodexpo@cnasicilia.it, info@cnasicilia.it, by scanning the original, which must in any case be delivered to the Organiser at least 30 days before the start of the Event by one of the two methods described above.
Applications will be considered subject to the remaining available space.
The following documents must be sent together with the Expression of interest:
- copy of the Chamber of Commerce registration certificate;
- copy of the resolution of commitment (Local Authorities);
- technical data sheet of the products to be exhibited.
In any case, CNA Sicilia will not consider applications received without the required signatures.
ART. 3 – ADMISSION TO THE EVENT
3.1. Upon receipt of the Application for Participation, the Organiser will decide whether to accept it, weighing every useful and relevant circumstance with the sole aim of ensuring the success of the Event and the progressively higher standing of the participating Exhibitors, while guaranteeing equal access opportunities to all interested operators.
In particular, the decision will take into account the following circumstances, by way of example:
a) participation of the Exhibitor in previous editions;
b) chronological order of the expressions of interest;
c) importance and prestige of the Exhibitor;
The Organiser is not required to give reasons for its decisions. Non-acceptance of an application to take part in the Event gives the operator no right to any indemnity or compensation.
3.2. In any case, the decision not to accept an operator’s application must be sent within 20 days of its formal receipt (which therefore sets the term of validity of the irrevocable offer); it may be sent simply by certified email (PEC) to the certified address indicated in the expression of interest.
Within the same term, or within the shorter time needed to carry out the necessary checks, the Organiser will send – by the same means – formal acceptance of the offer, indicating the Exhibition Space assigned. Furthermore, pursuant to Article 1327 of the Italian Civil Code and given the nature of the business and the customs of the trade fair sector, the Organiser may take any useful action to perform its obligations, thereby concluding the contract. In that case it will promptly notify the Exhibitor, together with the invoice for the balance.
3.3. Only upon payment of that invoice, within the terms set out in paragraph 4 below, will the Exhibitor be entitled to the “Entry Pass” to occupy the Exhibition Space assigned; the Entry Pass must be shown before setting up the stand.
3.4. The Entry Pass belongs exclusively to the admitted applicant; any transfer or rental to third parties is forbidden unless formally agreed in advance with, and authorised by, the Organiser.
ART. 4 – PAYMENT TERMS AND INCLUDED SERVICES – ADDITIONAL SERVICES NOT INCLUDED
4.1. Without prejudice to the provisions on the security deposit, the balance of all participation charges – including payment of the registration fee for the parties referred to in Art. 2 – must be paid together with the expression of interest and in any case no later than 30 days before the start of the Event.
Payment must be made by bank transfer to the following bank details:
- Bank: UniCredit - Palermo branch;
- Account holder: Cna Sicilia Servizi e Impresa Srl;
- IBAN: IT04A0200804642000105817032
- BIC SWIFT: UNCRITM1O55;
- Payment reference: Saldo partecipazione manifestazione TAORMINA FOOD EXPO – edizione 2026 (stating the invoice number).
If the Balance is not paid, and in the absence of specific agreements between the parties, CNA Sicilia reserves the right to terminate the contract pursuant to Article 1456 of the Italian Civil Code, denying access to the Event and applying the consequences set out in point 6 of these Regulations.
4.2. The registration fee is set at:
- € 400.00 plus VAT for companies;
- € 800.00 plus VAT for parties other than companies. Payment of this amount, as set out in the “Expression of interest”, entitles the Exhibitor to the following services:
- listing in the General online Catalogue (Art. 7);
- sign showing the Exhibition Space number;
- Exhibitor passes;
- assistance to Exhibitors;
- general surveillance of the halls;
The following mandatory services are also included in the cost per square metre:
- 220V electrical power installed up to 1.5 kW (installation including electrical panel, free of charge for pre-fitted areas);
- cleaning of the aisles near the Exhibition Spaces;
- fire extinguishers in the aisles;
ART. 5 – ALLOCATION OF EXHIBITION SPACES
5.1. Should the Organiser inform the Exhibitor, during negotiations, that a certain Space may be assigned, such information shall be relevant only for the continuation of the negotiations and shall not bind the Organiser, which may in any case change the indicated allocation and its features for further and different needs.
5.2. The allocation of exhibition spaces and their features may be changed unilaterally by the Organiser for supervening technical reasons or justified organisational needs.
In such cases the Organiser shall bear no liability towards the Exhibitors.
The exhibition areas will be made available to Exhibitors in the manner communicated at least 10 days before the event.
ART. 6 – WITHDRAWAL FROM PARTICIPATION – RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
6.1. An Exhibitor who, for a justified and objective reason, after the contract has been concluded, intends to withdraw from the Event covered by these Regulations must give immediate written notice by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or by certified email (to the addresses indicated in paragraph 2.4), to reach the Organiser at least 20 days before the date set for the start of the Event. Notices sent in any other way shall have no effect. The notice must state the reasons for the withdrawal. Unless it considers proven the existence of a supervening objective impossibility (an assessment that cannot be challenged), the Organiser will take note of the withdrawal and may retain, as a penalty and in view of the activities already carried out after the contract was concluded, the amount originally paid as a security deposit. If, for any reason, the deposit has not yet been paid at the time of the withdrawal notice, the Organiser may demand its immediate payment.
6.2. If the withdrawal is not validly justified or reaches the Organiser later than the thirtieth day before the date set for the start of the Event, the Organiser may retain, as a penalty, the amount paid as balance for participation, without prejudice to the right to compensation for any further direct and/or indirect damage. If, for any reason, the balance for participation has not yet been paid at the time of the withdrawal notice referred to in this paragraph, the Organiser may demand immediate payment of an amount equal to the above penalty.
PART II
ART. 7 – ONLINE CATALOGUE OF THE EVENT
7.1. Listing in the Official online Catalogue on the website www.taorminafoodexpo.it is mandatory for the direct Exhibitor (i.e. the party in whose name the application is submitted) and for member, represented and guest Exhibitors.
The Exhibitor is solely responsible for the accuracy of the data published in the Official Catalogue of the Event, which it will provide to the staff appointed by the Organiser.
The Organiser is released from any liability for errors, omissions and inaccuracies, to the maximum extent permitted by the laws in force.
The promotional material required for publication must be received no later than 30 days before the event. If such material is not received, the Organiser is expressly authorised to publish only the company name of the advertisers in the positions assigned.
ART. 8 – STAND FITTINGS AND CUSTOMISATION OF EXHIBITION SPACES
8.1. All stand fittings and related installations must be built in a workmanlike manner, in compliance with accident prevention and fire prevention regulations and with all other rules on the personal and material safety of the Exhibitor and of third parties.
8.2. Stand fittings must remain within the area assigned, marked by partition walls or adhesive tape.
The Organiser in any case reserves the right to have fittings and installations that do not comply with the above provisions modified or rebuilt.
8.3. All liability for the structural stability of the fittings lies exclusively with the Exhibitor, who expressly releases the Organiser from any damage that may arise from design and construction defects:
8.4. The assigned Exhibition Space will be set up from 8:00 to 17:00 on 11 November 2026 and from 8:00 to 12:00 on 12 November 2026 for all exhibitors of the pre-fitted areas booked. If the Exhibitor has not set up the stand within these times, CNA Sicilia may terminate the contract pursuant to Article 1456 of the Italian Civil Code and apply the penalty provided for in Article 27 of these Regulations.
The Exhibitor may not install in the Exhibition Space furnishings and/or objects that block light, cause nuisance or harm other Exhibitors and/or the public. CNA Sicilia reserves the right to have removed or modified, even against the Exhibitor’s will but at the Exhibitor’s expense, any installation that may prejudice or damage other Exhibitors, the public or the general appearance of the Event, that does not comply with the Technical Rules referred to (which form an integral part of the General Regulations), or that is merely a nuisance to other Exhibitors and/or the public.
ART. 9 – RETURN OF EXHIBITION AREAS – EXIT PASS
9.1. At the end of the Event, and not before, Exhibitors must remove the goods, products and materials from their stand. The Exhibitor must keep the stand staffed and fitted out until the end of the Event; leaving the stand, removing the products on display and dismantling the stand early are strictly forbidden. On every day of the Event, including the last, the Exhibitor must staff its stand, fitted out with its products.
If, on the last day, the stand is left and/or dismantled before the time set by the Organiser, CNA Sicilia may apply a one-off fine of € 200.00.
9.2. The Exhibition Space must be dismantled strictly on 16 and 17 November 2026. Dismantling must take place on those days from 8:00 to 19:00 and from 8:00 to 14:00 respectively, unless CNA Sicilia communicates changes. Before that date it will not be possible to start dismantling or to remove exhibited materials. Materials may only leave once the Exhibitor has collected from CNA Sicilia the “Exit Pass”, which will be issued only after the account has been settled; the Exhibitor grants CNA Sicilia the right to retain the exhibited goods until all amounts due have been paid. All materials and fitting residues, including floor coverings and double-sided tape, must be removed from the Exhibition Space. The Exhibition Space must be returned in the same condition in which the Exhibitor received it. CNA Sicilia provides Exhibitors with containers located in the exhibition areas for any waste. CNA Sicilia reserves the right to clear, at the Exhibitor’s risk and expense, any materials, installations and other items not collected within the prescribed terms, and to restore the Space occupied.
Materials and/or installations not collected will be taken over by CNA Sicilia and transported to warehouses at the Exhibitor’s risk and expense.
9.3. In any case, during the dismantling days each Exhibitor shall be liable for damage caused to third parties during those operations; it must personally look after its own goods and equipment and may not hold the Organiser liable for their damage and/or loss. The Organiser is only required to allow access to accredited operators, not to check and/or guard the Exhibitors’ stands.
PART III
ART. 10 – ACCESS TO THE EXHIBITION AREA
10.1. The Event is open to business operators of the sectors concerned holding the required entry document, at the cost set by the Organiser, on the days and at the times established.
To allow Exhibitors and their staff free entry to the exhibition, the Organiser will provide entry passes, governed by the material delivered to the Exhibitor; their use implies acceptance of these Regulations. The Exhibitor is in any case fully responsible for the behaviour of those to whom it gives entry passes, and for the behaviour of its employees, assistants and collaborators in carrying out the tasks assigned to them.
10.2. Within the exhibition area of the Palacongressi di Taormina, any activity unrelated to the purposes of the Event is strictly forbidden, even if not for profit. The Event may also be accessed by invitation from Exhibitors or by purchasing an entry ticket. The invitation, reserved for trade operators, allows entry to the exhibition on all days.
CNA Sicilia will issue each Exhibitor with 2 Passes for free access during the 4 days of the Event. All Passes must be made out to the person designated as holder; otherwise they do not entitle entry to the Event. One Pass will also be issued for each Associated, Represented or Guest Company.
ART. 11 – GENERAL SURVEILLANCE – LIABILITY FOR THEFT AND DAMAGE
11.1. For the entire duration of the Event, excluding the set-up and dismantling days, the Organiser provides, in its own interest and for its own needs, a general day and night surveillance service inside the exhibition premises (not the parking areas). During the periods and hours when access is allowed, the Exhibitor must watch over its stand directly or through trusted staff.
The Exhibitor shall be liable towards the Organiser, for its own acts and those of its employees, assistants, collaborators, suppliers or contractors, for all damage caused to the Organiser or to third parties in general.
11.2. The Exhibitor expressly releases the Organiser from any liability for direct or indirect damage arising from acts or omissions of its own and/or of other Exhibitors or third parties in general. Finally, the Exhibitor is liable for all damage caused to the exhibition premises, structures and equipment made available to it. Areas, and all Spaces in general, must be returned in the condition in which they were delivered.
The cost of restoring any changes made or damage caused shall be borne by the Exhibitors.
ART. 12 – INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY AND TEMPORARY TRADEMARK PROTECTION
The products and goods on display, as well as the stands housing them, may not be photographed, drawn or otherwise reproduced without the authorisation of the respective Exhibitors and of the Organiser. The Organiser nevertheless reserves the right to film, reproduce, distribute and authorise the filming, reproduction and distribution of general and detailed interior and exterior views, including selling them or allowing them to be sold.
Trademarks displayed during the Event and not protected by a patent or a legally filed application may enjoy the temporary protection established by the laws in force, provided it is requested from the Event Secretariat within the prescribed terms.
Only photographers authorised by the Organiser may work inside the Palacongressi di Taormina.
PART IV
ART. 13 – TECHNICAL SUPPLIES – SERVICES
13.1. At the Exhibitor’s request, the Organiser provides services, work and technical assistance.
When provided or carried out within the exhibition area of the Palacongressi, these are entrusted exclusively to official suppliers.
These conditions are deemed accepted by the Exhibitor when requesting the supply or service.
Please note that CNA Sicilia does not organise but only regulates the above technical services and therefore accepts no liability for their performance; any complaints must be sent in writing to CNA Sicilia by the day and time set for the end of the Event; after that time they will not be considered.
In particular, the Organiser specifies that:
a – connections to the fixed installations in the exhibition area and connections for electricity, drinking water and Wi-Fi may only be made by staff of the companies authorised by CNA Sicilia;
b – handling of goods (porterage, transport, loading and unloading, etc.) inside the Palacongressi must be carried out exclusively by the operator and technicians authorised by CNA Sicilia;
c – the security service may only be provided by the operator authorised by CNA Sicilia;
d – for cleaning the stands, Exhibitors may only use their own staff or third-party operators authorised by CNA Sicilia.
The suppliers of the above services will be identified and listed in the “Exhibitor’s Kit”, which will be sent by 10 November 2024.
The Exhibitor shall promptly set up its stand.
In any case, the Organiser shall not be liable for late or failed supply and activation of the services.
ART. 14 – INFORMATION AND ORIENTATION MATERIAL – PRIVACY
14.1. The Organiser reserves the right – as an exclusive service for Exhibitors and without accepting any liability for omissions or errors – to disseminate information contained in the application for participation concerning the Exhibitors and the products and services they exhibit, using the means and communication techniques it deems most suitable (for example printed matter, orientation maps or other, also in summarised or abbreviated form).
14.2. The Exhibitor undertakes to keep confidential and not to disclose to third parties, nor to use directly or indirectly for purposes not strictly related to the Event, information and data concerning CNA Sicilia’s customers that it learns in performing the contract.
In particular, the Exhibitor undertakes to comply with Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree no. 101 of 10 August 2018, which brought it into line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, with regard to such personal data of third parties, and acknowledges that any personal data transmitted to it must be processed solely to fulfil the obligations set out in the contract and may not be processed for purposes other than the performance of the contract. The Exhibitor undertakes to adopt all security measures necessary to prevent such personal data from coming into the possession of unauthorised third parties for any reason, and undertakes to hold CNA Sicilia harmless from any claim or damage arising from the breach of this undertaking.
The Exhibitor declares and guarantees that the personal data contained in its advertising and promotional materials have been obtained in compliance with Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree no. 101 of 10 August 2018, which brought it into line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and that the data controllers and/or data subjects concerned have expressly consented to the processing and communication and/or dissemination implied by or resulting from the publication of such data, releasing CNA Sicilia from the obligation to request their consent to such processing.
The Exhibitor takes full responsibility for the grounds of this declaration, holding CNA Sicilia harmless from any claim for damages arising from the breach of Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree no. 101 of 10 August 2018, which brought it into line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, concerning the processing of personal data contained in its advertising and promotional materials.
14.3. The Exhibitor takes full responsibility for the content of the information and texts sent to CNA Sicilia, acknowledging that it is solely responsible for them, holding CNA Sicilia harmless from any resulting claim for damages or recourse, and reimbursing CNA Sicilia for any cost arising from claims or actions by third parties based on the infringement of third-party intellectual property rights or on acts of unfair competition committed by the Exhibitor in the course of the activities covered by this contract.
14.4. The Exhibitor acknowledges that CNA Sicilia does not check whether Exhibitors legitimately own their intellectual property. The Exhibitor therefore waives any action or claim against CNA Sicilia should other Exhibitors act or exhibit in breach of its rights. Furthermore, CNA Sicilia is not required to take any expulsion or other measure against Exhibitors who act or exhibit in breach of the rights of other Exhibitors, except for any measure ordered by the Judicial Authorities.
ART. 15 – IMPORT OF GOODS
The temporary import of foreign goods intended for exhibition, such as samples for the Event, must be carried out – at the Exhibitor’s expense – only through the Exhibitor’s appointed forwarding agent. The Organiser is released from any liability for the work of the forwarding agent appointed by the Exhibitor.
ART. 16 – NOISE EMISSIONS
Audiovisual equipment and sound reproduction may be used provided they do not disturb other Exhibitors or the public.
The Organiser is contractually entitled to order, for reasons relating to the organisation, proper running and success of the Event, that the operation of such equipment be stopped or suspended at any time. Should the Exhibitor refuse to comply with the Organiser’s order, the Organiser may take any other permitted measure, including switching off the equipment with its own staff and at the Exhibitor’s expense.
ART. 17 – SERVING OF FOOD AND BEVERAGES
17.1. If food and beverages are served to the public, the Exhibitor must obtain the authorisations required by the relevant regulations and strictly comply with them.
In any case, CNA Sicilia accepts no liability should the Judicial Authority, following inspections, find violations of those regulations; indeed, all charges, consequences or sanctions shall be borne entirely by the Exhibitor, who shall in any case remain bound to fulfil all contractual obligations relating to participation.
17.2. Alcoholic drinks, food and beverages of any kind served or given as gifts or free samples are intended exclusively for tasting and must therefore be in moderate quantities suitable for consumption on site. In any case, glasses, bottles and/or other glass objects may not be taken out of the Stand where they were obtained; such material must therefore be placed where only the staff of the offering Exhibitor can reach it.
17.3. The Organiser is in any case contractually entitled to order the suspension of such activities when there are appropriate reasons, regardless of previous authorisations.
Should the Exhibitor fail to comply with the above provisions, the Organiser may terminate the contract and exclude the Exhibitor from the Event, applying the penalty set out in Article 27 of these Regulations and without prejudice to legal action for greater damage.
ART. 18 – SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT AND ITS OPERATION
18.1. Without prejudice to the rule that only food products are admitted to the Event, machinery excluded, equipment used to present food products may be brought into the stands.
Such equipment must in any case be brand new, type-approved and compliant with the national and international laws in force. Products, machinery, appliances and equipment that do not fall within the types strictly indicated in these Regulations will be removed immediately at the Exhibitor’s risk and expense.
The Exhibitor must fit the equipment with all the devices needed to prevent accidents, disturbing noise, bad smells and disturbing or dangerous emissions.
The Exhibitor in any case releases the Organiser from any liability arising from the operation of the above equipment.
PART V
ART. 19 – PROHIBITIONS – SUPERVISION AND INTERVENTION
19.1. In particular, and without prejudice to any other provision, Exhibitors are forbidden:
a) to transfer, exchange, sublet or in any case grant the use of the stand assigned, even partially and/or free of charge. The prohibition applies to any Exhibitor; in particular, it concerns parties not listed as official Exhibitors in the exhibition Catalogue;
b) to exhibit products inconsistent with the product category of the stand as stated in the Application for Participation;
c) to advertise outside their own stand. Distribution of advertising material, i.e. leafleting, is allowed only within their own exhibition area;
d) to display signs or samples, even merely indicative, on behalf of third parties not indicated in the Application for Participation and not represented by the Exhibitors;
e) to photograph or film by any means the interior of the Palacongressi, the stands and the goods on display without the prior consent of the Organiser and of the stand holders.
In addition:
- Smoking is forbidden in all indoor areas of the Palacongressi (Law no. 3 of 2003 and Prime Ministerial Decree of 23.12.2003). Offenders will be subject to an administrative fine of € 25.00 to € 250.00; the fine is doubled in the cases provided for by law. Besides the Municipal Police and the Judicial Police, the Organiser is also responsible for enforcing this prohibition and recording the relevant fines.
19.2. Technical prohibitions concerning the safety of people and property form part of these general terms of contract and the Exhibitor undertakes to observe them strictly. Any exemptions may be granted by the Organiser in writing only.
CNA Sicilia ensures that its regulations and the general terms of the participation contracts are observed, and all those entering the Palacongressi di Taormina must comply with the provisions and instructions that CNA Sicilia gives at the entrance and inside the Palacongressi through signs, written notices, announcements over the sound system, service staff and any other means it deems appropriate. In the event of non-compliance with even one of the prohibitions above, or with those referred to in this article, the contract for participation in the Event may be terminated unilaterally by the Organiser by simple written notice to the Exhibitor; this will entail the immediate closure of the stand and the withdrawal of the documents for access to the Palacongressi, without prejudice to the amounts due from the Exhibitor and to any damages.
19.3. The custody and surveillance of the Exhibition Space, and of its contents, during set-up, opening to the public and dismantling, are the responsibility of the Exhibitor. The Exhibitor undertakes to personally watch over the Exhibition Space from one hour before the Event opens to the public until closing in the evening.
19.4. The Exhibitor undertakes to observe, and to ensure that those working on its behalf observe, the regulations in force on the prevention and protection of workers’ health and safety, in compliance with Legislative Decree no. 81 of 9 April 2008 as subsequently supplemented and amended, and with the Technical Rules contained in the General Regulations. The Exhibitor shall therefore be responsible for compliance with the regulations in force on health and safety in the workplace and undertakes to hold CNA Sicilia harmless both from any liability for accidents suffered by the staff it uses and from any objection that may be raised in this regard by the competent Authorities.
The Exhibitor shall also be liable for any sale of alcoholic products to minors within its Exhibition Space, holding CNA Sicilia harmless from any liability.
19.5. In general, anything that may prejudice, disturb or damage the regular running of the Event and its purposes is forbidden. In particular, it is forbidden to:
a) transfer or sublet the assigned Exhibition Space to third parties, even free of charge;
b) exhibit in the exhibition spaces products of companies not declared in the Application for Participation and officially accepted by CNA Sicilia, or exhibit or deal in products of sectors not specified in the Application for Participation. Exceptions to this prohibition may be allowed if justified by the need to display or demonstrate a legitimately exhibited product, provided they are requested in writing;
c) take photographs or film inside one’s own stand and the halls without specific authorisation issued by CNA Sicilia;
d) carry out sound presentations, attractions and/or any kind of audio call inside the stands exceeding the established sound limit or in any case disturbing other Exhibitors or visitors;
e) display and use media such as DVDs, CD-ROMs, CDs, records, etc. that do not comply with or infringe copyright law; in this respect the Exhibitor takes full responsibility for any failure to comply with those laws;
f) leave the stand unattended;
g) remain in the stands or in the exhibition area during closing hours.
Breach of even one of the above prohibitions may lead to the temporary closure of the stand, to immediate exclusion or expulsion from the current exhibition or to non-admission to future ones, at the unquestionable discretion of CNA Sicilia.
The defaulting Exhibitor may not claim any compensation from CNA Sicilia following the application of the sanctions, without prejudice to the latter’s right to compensation for any damage suffered.
CNA Sicilia must in any case be held harmless from any sanctions imposed as a result of such non-compliance by the judicial police, other supervisory bodies and the Public Authorities in general.
CNA Sicilia reserves the right to take action against those responsible to obtain compensation for any damage to the image of the Event caused by their misconduct.
ART. 20 – SUSPENSION OR POSTPONEMENT OF THE EVENT – RELEASE FROM LIABILITY
20.1. The Organiser is released from any liability should the Event be unable to take place. In that case the Exhibitor will be notified immediately and the amount paid will be refunded.
20.2. Should the Event be suspended after its opening date:
a - if the suspension is due to force majeure, no refund of any kind will be due to the Exhibitor;
b - in any other case, the Exhibitor shall only be entitled to a refund proportionate to the partial loss of use. In none of these cases, however, shall CNA Sicilia be required to pay compensation and/or other indemnities of any kind.
20.3. Furthermore, the Organiser accepts no liability for any circumstance and/or event beyond its control that may in any way prevent or disturb the regular running of the Event.
20.4. The Organiser is contractually entitled, at its discretion, to change the dates of the Event, without the Exhibitor being able to withdraw from or otherwise be released from the contract and the commitments undertaken, the contractual conditions set out above remaining fully and permanently effective.
20.5. By express and agreed derogation from Article 6 of these Regulations, if there are fewer than 30 days between the notice of the change of date of the Event and the new first day chosen for its start, each Exhibitor may send to the Organiser’s certified email (PEC) a formal withdrawal from participation only within and no later than 5 days from the notice of postponement, in which case it will bear the costs already incurred.
After that term, should the Exhibitor then not take part in the Event, the Organiser may retain the balance or demand its payment if not yet paid.
20.6. Any changes concerning the premises where the Event will take place must instead be notified to the Exhibitors, who may accept or refuse the change. If they do not accept it, Exhibitors shall be entitled to a refund of everything paid up to that time.
ART. 21 – SALES
As this is a trade exhibition, sales activities are allowed.
Trading on samples is allowed, without prejudice to CNA Sicilia’s right to set limits on this matter at its sole and unquestionable discretion, which will be publicised widely and in advance.
ART. 22 – USE OF THE TRADEMARK
Exhibitors may use the Event’s trademark in their communications and printed matter, exclusively in the versions and according to the guidelines given by CNA Sicilia.
ART. 23 – GENERAL PROVISIONS – COMPLAINTS
23.1. The Exhibitor undertakes to perform this contract towards the Organiser.
The Exhibitor also undertakes towards the Organiser to observe, and to ensure punctual observance of, all legal requirements issued or to be issued by the Public Security, Health and Public Hygiene authorities, and by those responsible for the prevention of fires and accidents and for the safety and supervision of premises open to the public.
In particular, the Exhibitor also undertakes towards the Organiser to comply with all the requirements of the accident prevention regulations in force, whether aimed at protecting employees or third parties (to this end the Exhibitor declares that it is familiar with those regulations and in particular with Legislative Decree no. 81 of 2008, as subsequently supplemented and amended).
